Barrister
René is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law and articled with Brian Coleman, K.C., Glen Orris, K.C., Mark Swartz, and Chantal Paquette in downtown Vancouver.
During law school, René was deeply involved in public interest work, including the UBC ID Clinic, which provides essential identification services to marginalized individuals. His commitment to access to justice earned him recognition as a co-recipient of the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award.
Before studying law, René worked on a drilling rig in Alberta and as a forest firefighter for BC Wildfire, experiences that shaped his strong work ethic and grounded perspective.
Originally from Eastern Canada, René is fluently bilingual and offers legal services in both English and French.
